I am glad to report that we cover 169 children in our community (Milan, Grants, and Bluewater New Mexico) with gifts
of all kinds. I (Wanda) had the privage to past out gifts to one of the four elementary schools that we service with gifts.
That night in bed, I could not go to sleep until after 4:00 a.m. in the morning for seeing over and over in my mind the faces
of the different children that received gifts from June Bug Helping Hands.
We have no office or public building that we meet at. We at JuneBug Helping Hands are working out of our homes
to provide Christmas for needy children in our area. My living room at now how turn into Santa Clause's Work Shop.
We contract the different elementary schools plus the prison, Roberta Place, and other places where children goes to
find names of children in need of help in having a Christmas of any kind.
After we get names, ages, and sizes, we take the toys, clothes, shoes, coats, books, or items for Christmas in boxes.
We wrap the gifts up and put a name on each box.
Each gift is brough to the place that give us the names and let them delivery each gifts to the children whom names are
on the gifts.
Here at JuneBug Helping Hands, we try to provide Christmas for children in our area that are most likely not going to
have Christmas due to things out of their control.
We are hit hard times some time or other in our life time. It is no disgrace to be hard on your luck. It
is hard to provide a nice Christmas when the parents' job play out just at Christmas time. It is not easy on the family
when one lose their job due to lay offs or plant shut-down.
What ever the reason, we at JuneBug understand that there are some hard times none of us can prevent. We are here
to help provide Christmas for families that are hard on his luck. This is what JuneBug Helping Hands are all about.
Remember, we all been there at one time or the other, and we never know if we will end up there again before our life
is over. As the founder and owner of JuneBug Helping Hands, this is my way of giving back to the community.
